They are packed with healthy monounsaturated fats and are a great source of protein and fiber that help keep you feeling satisfied and can help break the urge for more food. Monounsaturated fats help clear the arteries for a pleasant and healthy heart.
Almonds are by far the king of all nuts. A good handful of almonds provides 19% of your daily need for magnesium, which is an essential component for building strong, pleasing muscles.
Almonds also provide half the daily amount of vitamin E. Walnuts also contain no sugar, so there’s no insulin response to worry about.
Warning: Do not buy salted nuts or mixed nuts that you have in a can, as they are not good for you and have a high sodium content. High sodium equals high blood pressure!
Two handfuls of nuts a day (about 24 of them) is a great way to eat to keep you full, a good source of vitamin E, helping to keep your heart healthy and also full of protein and magnesium to help build muscle!

Now I know what you think … Eggs are high in cholesterol and fat!
Now, wait for a second, eggs have received a bad reputation over the years for being famous in much fast food dishes and cooked in hydrogenated oils, which is definitely not good for you.
Eggs raise cholesterol but increase HDL cholesterol levels, which is good cholesterol. Eggs do not raise LDL cholesterol, which is bad cholesterol.
In addition, it has been found that most of the cholesterol in the blood is produced from the body from dietary fat, not cholesterol.
Not only are eggs an excellent fat-burning food, but they also contain omega 3 fatty acids, which help promote overall health and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease as well as the risk of blood clots!
The most important reason why you should eat eggs for the fat burning mechanism is that it is packed with protein and contains vitamin b12, essential for the fat breakdown!
The protein found in eggs has the highest “biological value” of protein. All that means is that protein in eggs is more effective at building muscle than other sources, including lean red meat and milk.

Mom always said “eat your green vegetables” and she was right!

Green vegetables also produce the “thermogenic effect” which I mentioned earlier. All this means that it creates an increase in metabolic rate based on the amount of heat generated during the digestion process.
This makes green vegetables one of the top fat burning foods! But that is not all they have to offer.
Spinach is probably the main green vegetable. It contains almost a full day of vitamin A and half of vitamin C. Spinach also contains folate and protects against colon cancer, stroke, and heart disease!
Broccoli is perhaps one of my favorite green vegetables. It has a lot of fiber and is highly packed with minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants.
Broccoli boosts enzymes that help detoxify carcinogens, which helps fight cancer.
Tip: When ordering your green vegetables in a restaurant, ask the waiter not to bathe them with butter. Most restaurants butter them and that defeats the goal of healthy eating and trying to burn fat, doesn’t it?
Fat Burning Foods # 4 – Berries
Finally something sweet for you to eat! You can put berries in oats for breakfast or even throw them in low-fat yogurt.
Berries are definitely a great fat burning food and even help fight obesity.
They have a large number of vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber, which helps regulate the absorption and digestion of sugar and carbohydrates. This is excellent news because it does not cause an increase in blood sugar or an increase in insulin, which triggers your body to store fat.
Don’t forget that fiber also helps keep you satiated and a cup of fruit brings you 6 grams of fiber!
Tip: When picking up your berries, look at the bottom of the box. If you see fruit juice, stay away as it means the berries will spoil soon! Oh, and Captain Crunch berries don’t count as healthy berries, in case you’re wondering 🙂

Finally, all of you meat lovers can rejoice! Lean meats are extremely important in any fat burning diet. It contains high-quality protein that reduces cravings and helps build muscle and repair cells, which is vital for promoting a lean body.
Protein has a high “thermogenic effect” and burns a lot of calories, trying to break down the protein and use it as energy. The lean meats you should focus on are chicken, turkey, and fish.
These are the best lean meats. Choose white meat over dark meat when eating poultry and the best fish to eat is salmon or tuna because they are packed with omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, which decreases the amount of leptin in your body.
Leptin affects metabolism The higher leptin levels in your body, the more your body stores fat.
Advice: I know many of you like red meat and like steak, which is good. But the steak has a lot of saturated fat and there are leaner cuts than others, so pay attention. Always look for sirloin. New York strips and tenderloin are less greasy than T-bones, rib steak, and porterhouse steak. If you are looking for pork, stick with ham, pork chops, and filet mignon.
There are many fat burning foods that you can eat. It took me a long time to gather the information needed to change my life.
